HCP Lahore Event

Open Government Partnership (OGP) was launched in 2011 by eight founding governments of Indonesia, Philippines, Norway, Brazil, Mexico, United Kingdom, South Africa and United States and now has 66 members, Sri Lanka being the newest member singed-up this year.

OGP’s vision is to empower citizens, harness new technologies to strengthen governance, promote transparency and fight corruption. OGP is also a component in Pakistan’s Government’s Vision 2025.

Since private sector is the engine for economic growth, LCCI in collaboration with Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) is trying to frame a dialogue on how best private sector can get benefit by Pakistan signing-up for Open Government Partnership.
